Prof. Jidong Zhao Appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief for Computers and Geotechnics

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Jidong Zhao has been appointed as a co-Editor-in-Chief for the prestigious journal Computers and Geotechnics, effective from January 2024. This leading international journal (Q1) focuses on the application of computer-based methods in geotechnical engineering and has a long-standing history of over 40 years. It is recognized as a premier forum for disseminating top-tier research and innovations in the field, covering a wide range of topics including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, computational geomechanics, geotechnical earthquake engineering, and numerical methods in geotechnical engineering.

Previous distinguished editors of the journal include the late Professor Scott W. Sloan (FRS, FREng), Professor David Potts (FREng), and Professor Hywel Thomas (FRS, FREng), whose sustained dedication and vision have raised the journal to its current height. As co-leader of his editorial team, Prof. Zhao is committed to continuing his predecessors’ legacy, upholding the high standards of the journal and further advancing its impact in the field of geotechnical engineering.
